It was a successful Thursday for the Prairie Central volleyball teams during Volley for the Cure Night.
The varsity went 2-0 against Monticello (25-20, 25-16). Top servers for PC were Kerigan Fehr, Bella Mekarski and Sawyer Ashman. Top attackers were Kerigan Fehr with 7, Gyllian Davies 6 and Adeline Kilgus 6. Gracie Edelman had 27 kill assists. Sawyer Ashman and Gyllian Davies had one solo block each.
For defensive digs, Carley Chambers had 11, Gracie Edelman 9, Gyllian Davies 8, Kerigan Fehr 7 and Bella Mekarski 6.
Kerigan Fehr reached her 1,000 varsity career digs.
“We were grateful for all the help for our Volley for the Cure night,” said Coach Kirsten Smith. “A big shout-out to my assistant coaches for all the work that they put in to make this night what it was.”
The sophomore and freshman teams each won 2-1.
