Prairie Central’s softball team won over Gibson City at home Thursday 4-3.
The Hawks had 6 hits with Kyah Creek and Rylee Galloway both going 3-2. Kate Slagel led the team with 2 RBIs. Sam Slagel and Galloway both had one RBI. Jules Woodrey took the win in the circle with 5 strikes out and 3 walks. She gave up 6 hits and no earned runs.
“This was a nice win to get this week,” said PC softball coach Molly Cagley. “We had a lot of girls in different positions tonight and we responded well to it and communicated when we needed to.”
PC travels to Tolono Friday for a big conference game as the Hawks currently sit in fourth place in the conference.
