The Prairie Central varsity girls basketball team opened postseason play Monday evening with a win over Herscher 63-58 in the Class 2A Reed-Custer Regional.
PC advances to the Regional final Thursday evening at 7 p.m. against Peotone. Mariya Sisco was leading scorer for the Hawks with 22, Clare Strong was leading rebounder with 12 and Mariya Sisco also led in steals with 8.
