Girls open with hoop win

The Prairie Central girls basketball Turkey Tourney is underway at PCHS.

In hoop action Monday night, Eureka defeated East Peoria 41-18, Pontiac defeated IVC 55-26 and Prairie Central was a winner over Mahomet-Seymour 48-40.

Elly Haberkorn led the scoring for the Hawks with 21, Natalie Graf had 12, Madison Kinkade contributed 6, Becca Conlisk had 4, Chloe Sisco had 3 and Mariya Sisco with 2.

The tourney continues throughout the week.
