The varsity baseball Hawks fell to Herscher 7-1 on Saturday.

It was a game where offense never got going, according to head coach Gaige Rinkenberger.

Hartman doubled in an RBI for the lone Prairie Central run. The Hawks had some defensive gems including a diving catch by Gavin Tredennick and a triple play in the infield.

“Defensively, some early miscues hurt as Herscher jumped out to a 3-0 lead,” said Rinkenberger. “They would tack on four more in the fourth.”

PC is back at it Monday against conference foe St. Joe at home.
