The Prairie Central Lady Hawks basketball team was victorious in its season opener Monday night during the annual PC Turkey Tournament.
In a game broadcast on Fairbury News with Jeff Curl and Mike Norris on the call, the Hawks defeated the Raiders of East Peoria 68-45. Leading scorer for PC was Chloe Sisco with 20, followed by Mariya Sisco with 18. Leading scorer for East Peoria was Moeller with 32.
Ottawa defeated Pontiac in the other game, 58-33. Leading scorer for Ottawa was Carroll with 13 and Pontiac’s leader was Masching with 23.
The PC Turkey Tournament continues all week at Prairie Central High School. PC takes on Ottawa Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. The other game has Peoria Notre Dame battling the Pontiac Indians.
