Both the Prairie Central boys and girls basketball teams are looking to get back into the win column after losses Tuesday night.
The Hawk boys fell to Bloomington Central Catholic on the road 75-59.
Tyler Curl had 21 points in the effort while Levi Goad had 13 and Jack Schahrer, Gavin Tredennick and Talon Steidinger each contributed 6. Gage Steidinger had 4 points while Avery Elder had 3.
PC boys are back in action Friday night in a non-conference road game at Eureka before returning home for a Saturday afternoon matchup with Beecher at PCHS.
The Lady Hawks lost to Gibson City Melvin Sibley 48-34 in their final home game of the year. Leading PC scorers were Lucy Whitfill with 11 and Abi Nimbler with 10. Jayla Hammond contributed 7 points while Kelly Wilkey, Sawyer Ashman and Carmen Gradberg each had 2.
Monticello is the next opponent for the girls in a road game this Thursday evening. The game is a makeup from the Jan. 15 game which was cancelled due to weather. PC girls basketball then plays in the IHSA regional this Saturday starting at 1 p.m. in Gilman at Iroquois West High School.
