Hoop coverage is back

Hawk sports are back and so is our coverage on Fairbury News!

We plan to bring you coverage of the boys and girls home basketball games and many of the football games coming up this spring. Our first broadcast comes your way this Saturday, Feb. 6 live on the Fairbury News Facebook page as the Prairie Central girls play Peoria Notre Dame in Fairbury. The game is scheduled to tip-off at 4 p.m. Mike Norris will have the play-by-play action for Fairbury News viewers.

Our broadcast schedule next week includes the boys playing Rantoul at home Tuesday (Feb. 9) and 7 .m. and the girls playing Central Catholic at home Thursday (Feb. 11) at 7 p.m.

Keep in mind, all of the athletic schedules are subject to change so bear with us all during this most unusual season. For those games we cannot carry for some reason or to see an entire uninterrupted stream of a game, Prairie Central is now part of the NFHS Network. Visit www.nfhsnetwork.com for more information where you can subscribe. Cost is $10.99 a month or $69.99 a year, according to PC Athletic Director Austin Wenger.

Thanks to our Fairbury News broadcast sponsors for Hawk football and basketball this school year: Dave’s Supermarket, bSureIT/Route 24 Computers, Popejoy Inc., Kilgus Farmstead, Greg Kurtenbach State Farm Insurance Agent, Pizzas by Marchelloni, Knapp Kitchens, Bank of Pontiac, Edelman Electric, State Rep.
