Hawks split weekend games




PC battles the Trojans of Maroa-Forsyth on Saturday evening.

The Prairie Central varsity boys basketball team won its game over PBL Friday night at home but lost on the road to Maroa-Forsyth Saturday.


PC defeated PBL 58-40 at PCHS for the Illini Prairie Conference win. The Hawks defense held PBL to 11 second half points. Dylan Bazzell was leading scorer with 15, Camden Palmore had 10, Drew Haberkorn contributed 8 and Tyler Curl and Drew Fehr each had 6.


In the Illini Prairie-Sangamon challenge Saturday evening, the Hawks fell to host Maroa-Forsyth 71-58. PC had a bit of a run later in the game but it wasn’t enough as the Trojans came right back. Dylan Bazzell had 16 points, Tyler Curl and Camden Palmore both had 13, Goad and Fehr each had 2, Haberkorn had 3 points and Andy Krenz scored 7.


Central Catholic is Prairie Central’s next opponent Tuesday night in Bloomington then PC is back home next Friday for senior night against Iroquois West and Saturday against Plano High School.
