Hawks look to bounce back

(Unity defenders keep an eye on PC's Tyler Curl Friday night at Tolono)

After a couple of competitive games which didn't go their way in the end, the Prairie Central Hawks boys basketball team looks ahead to another busy week as January winds down and February begins.

In a hard-fought battle Friday night at Tolono, the Hawks fell to Unity, 60-56. Though PC was up three late in the fourth quarter, there were costly turnovers down the stretch.

The Hawks returned home Saturday evening for a non-conference game against Fieldcrest which was recently added to the schedule. The Knights defeated the Hawks 59-51. PC showed improvement and battled back in the second half after being down early.

Prairie Central travels to IVC High School Tuesday evening before returning home Friday to battle PBL which will be senior night at Fairbury. This Saturday is the IPC/Sangamo Shootout at Monticello High School when the Hawks meet up with Williamsville in the afternoon.
