Hawks hope for success in '24

(Prairie Central football practice shown last week in Fairbury)

This year’s Prairie Central Hawk football team is looking forward to another season which begins Friday night at home against Tolono Unity.

“Tolono again,” PC head coach Mike Goodwin chuckled following practice last week.

Goodwin feels his Hawks will have to play really well.

“They’ve got a lot of kids back, some great skilled kids. We are going to have our hands full.”

In his second year as PC’s head coach, Goodwin feels the kids have remembered everything.

While the Hawks are really young up front, Hudson Ault is at running back.

“We are not as tall as we were last year but we are incredibly fast and we’ve got really good hands,” notes Goodwin.

Goodwin admits the team has been working hard so he hopes they are in decent shape.
