Prairie Central fell to Monticello in its varsity football opener Friday night at Lewis Field.
The final score was 19-15 in our featured broadcast game on Fairbury News with Jeff Curl and Mike Wolf calling the action.
PC was up 7-0 in the first but Monticello scored in the second to bring the game within one. No one scored in the third but the fourth quarter saw plenty of action with Monticello scoring first followed by a run for the Hawks putting them ahead before Monticello came out on top.
