Hawks defeat Minutemen




Prairie Central's Tyler Curl takes a shot against Lexington Wednesday evening.

The Prairie Central boys basketball team moves to 2-0 on its young season after defeating Lexington in the GCMS Thanksgiving Tourney Wednesday night 77-54.


Thanks to balanced scoring and an aggressive defensive effort, the Hawks came away with the victory. Drew Haberkorn led a solid rebounding effort with 12 rebounds. Scoring leaders were Levi Goad with 19, Tyler Curl and Camden Palmore with 14 each, Dylan Bazzell with 13 and Haberkorn with 8.


Eric Stock called the action for viewers on Fairbury News Wednesday evening. PC now plays Friday at 4 p.m. against Tri-Point in the GCMS tournament and Fairbury News will also have that broadcast.
