Good night for Hawks
The Prairie Central boys basketball team won the Watseka Holiday Tournament Tuesday defeating Cissna Park 53-48.
The Hawk win is attributed to good defense and rebounding. Leading scorers were Trey Bazzell with 26 and Jake Bachtold with 14. Rebounding leaders were Cooper Palmore, Bazzell and Bachtold. Rylie Vaughan and Bazzell were named to the all-tournament team.
Meanwhile, the Prairie Central girls beat Tri-Valley by a score of 64-39. Chloe Sisco and Elly Haberkorn each had 15 points, while Emma Kinkade had 9 and Natalie Graf chipped in 6.
