The Prairie Central varsity girls basketball team got its second win of the year after defeating Pontiac Thursday evening during our featured Fairbury News broadcast game by a score of 56-45.
Chloe Sisco led the Hawks with 24 points, Madison Kinkade had 15, Mariya Sisco contributed 10, Clare Strong had 2, Katy Curl scored 4 and Natalie Graf had 1.
It is a busy week ahead for the Lady Hawks with four games on the road – starting with Dwight on Friday.
BOYS WIN AT DWIGHT:
The Prairie Central boys basketball team traveled to Dwight Thursday and won over the host Trojans 80-43. Coach Bazzell said everyone got playing time as the Hawks played hard with a great effort.
Palmore had 8 boards, Bazzell had 7 to go along with his 27 points (7-9 from the field, 3-3 from the arc) and Tyler Trachsel had 12 off the bench.
The boys travel to Pontiac Friday night for a matchup against the Indians in the Livingston County rivalry game to be broadcast live here on Fairbury News at 7 p.m. Eric Stock will have the play-by-play.
