The Prairie Central varsity girls had a successful Saturday afternoon as they defeated LaSalle-Peru 47-30 in a high school basketball game carried live on Fairbury News with Jeff Curl calling the action.
Katy Curl was leading scorer with 13, Mariya Sisco had a double-double with 10 rebounds and 11 points, while Chloe Sisco was the steal leader with 4.
The Hawks move to 17-6 on the season and are scheduled to battle Illinois Valley Central High School at home Monday evening before traveling to PBL later in the week. Fairbury News plans to broadcast the Jan. 31 girls game back at home against Central Catholic at 7 p.m.
