Girls battle PBL, Riverton

The Prairie Central girls basketball team lost to Paxton-Buckley-Loda last Thursday 40-35.

Leading scorer for the Hawks was Jayla Hammond with nine points and Lucy Whitfill contributed 8.

On Saturday, the girls lost to Riverton 44-32. Lucy Whitfill and Jayla Hammond were leading scorers each with 7 points.

The Lady Hawks are back in action Monday evening (Jan. 29) at home against Central Catholic and we’ll have the broadcast on Fairbury News with tipoff at 7 p.m.
