Boys win one, lose one




The Hawks battle Teutopolis Saturday at Fairbury.

The Prairie Central Hawk boys basketball team split a pair of weekend games broadcast here on Fairbury News.


PC won Friday night’s county rivalry game against Pontiac 63-62 in an overtime thriller played at Fairbury. Dylan Bazzell was leading scorer for the night with 20, followed by Tyler Curl with 17 and Gage Steidinger with 10. Drew Fehr and Camden Palmore had 8.


The Hawks suffered their second loss of the season on Saturday after falling to Teutopolis 60-35. Tyler Curl led with 9 points, Drew Fehr had 8, Camden Palmore 6 and Dylan Bazzell had 6. Next up for the boys is a road trip to Monticello on Tuesday.


Girls fall to Peotone


Also on Saturday, the PC Lady Hawks lost to Peotone 69-42. Chloe Sisco was the leading scorer with 19, leading rebounder and steal leader was Mariya Sisco with 10 rebounds and 5 steals.
