Earlier this week, the Prairie Central baseball team defeated Tri-Valley 6-1 but the Hawks fell 5-0 to El Paso-Gridley at the Corn Crib in Normal Thursday evening.
PC has a home game Friday afternoon at 4:30 against Lexington before battling Tremont on Saturday and Marquette Monday.
The Hawk JV baseball game scheduled to be played at PCHS Thursday was canceled due to the weather.
In softball, Prairie Central lost a home game to Mahomet on Monday 3-0.
“The Hawks just couldn’t get bats going against a solid Mahomet pitcher,” said coach Molly Cagley.
The softball team travels to Ottawa for a 4:30 game Friday afternoon and to Hoopeston Saturday for a double header starting at 10 a.m. weather permitting.
