The Prairie Central baseball and softball teams both had conference wins over Rantoul Thursday.
In baseball, the Hawks were led by a 6 strikeout 1 run complete game from pitcher Tyler Curl. Offensively, Brandon Holland and Gavin Tredennick paced the Hawks with 3 hits apiece and multiple RBI’s. PC won 12-1.
Softball took the conference win against Rantoul 7-2.
“Bats were a little off for some of us today, but we still came up with seven hits,” said head softball coach Molly Cagley.
Sam Slagel went 4-3 with 3 RBI’s. Jules Woodrey had a 2-run homer on the night. Faith Fields, a freshman, had a great game, giving up 5 hits and walking 3 but she struck out 10. The Hawk softball record is now 8-6.
