A senior night victory




The varsity Hawks pull off the win on senior night Thursday at PCHS.

The Prairie Central Hawk varsity boys were victorious on senior night as they defeated Unity 64-48 in high school basketball action.


During our featured broadcast game on Fairbury News Thursday evening, Trey Bazzell and Rylie Vaughan both had 15 points, Logan Goad had 11, Cooper Palmore contributed 8 and Tyler Trachsel had 6. Other scorers were Dylan Bazzell with 4, Camden Palmore with 3, and Austin Swiech with 2.


Bazzell added 8 rebounds and 6 assists, Palmore had 8 rebounds, Trachsel had 7 boards and Vaughan had 5 assists.


Head Coach Darin Bazzell described the game as tough and physical.


PC is back in action Friday night at home as they play St. Joe Ogden at 7 p.m. We will also carry that game on Fairbury News with a 6:55 p.m. pre-game. Dayton Kilgus will be back on the call for us.


JV Update:

The undefeated JV Hawks shown Thursday evening in Fairbury.

The Prairie Central JV boys move to 8-0 on the season as they defeated Tolony Unity 67-45. Dylan Bazzell had a game-high 23 points while Drew Haberkorn added 16 and Drew Fehr had 11 points, playing great defense for the Hawks the entire game.


Like the varsity, the JV is back in action Friday night as well against SJO.
