8-0 Hawks keep rolling




PC goes up for a shot Friday night against STM in Fairbury.

Prairie Central came away with a couple of weekend basketball victories after home games on Friday and Saturday nights.


The Hawks defeated St. Thomas More on Friday 54-32 on a rough shooting night for both teams. PC had a good defensive effort, keeping STM in check, according to head coach Darin Bazzell. Leading Hawk scorer was Levi Goad with 13 and four players had 9 points including Drew Haberkorn, Tyler Curl, Dylan Bazzell and Drew Fehr.


Prairie Central defeated St. Anne 75-30 and improved to 8-0 on the season behind 21 points from Tyler Curl, 19 from Dylan Bazzell, 15 from Levi Goad and 11 from Drew Haberkorn. Drew Fehr had plenty of hustle with rebounds.


The big Livingston County rivalry game is this coming Friday night at Pontiac starting at 7 p.m. We will have the action live on Fairbury News.
