Bank donates to Peace Meals

(Bank of Pontiac recently donated $20,000 to the OSF Peace Meal in Livingston County and $20,00 to the OSF Peace Meal in McLean County)

Bank of Pontiac has donated $40,000 to help seniors improve their nutrition, sustain their independence and enhance their quality of life through meals and fellowship. That is the mission of the OSF Peace Meal Senior Nutrition Program.

The Bank of Pontiac Board of Directors approved two separate donations to the OSF HealthCare program. A $20,000 donation was made to support OSF Peace Meal in Livingston County, and a separate $20,000 was also donated to support the program in McLean County. The donations will be used to provide meals for low and moderate income individuals who participate in the program.

“The Bank of Pontiac is proud to support a program that benefits our senior citizens in Livingston and McLean Counties on a daily basis and enhances their quality of life,” said Mark Donovan, President and CEO of Bank of Pontiac.

“OSF HealthCare is grateful for the continuous support from the Bank of Pontiac and for their generosity in supporting the OSF Peace Meal program,” said Wendy Mitchell, Vice President of Foundation Operations - OSF HealthCare Foundation. “In partnership with Bank of Pontiac, OSF will continue to serve nutritious meals and provide friendly visits to those individuals who are in need in both Livingston County and McLean County.”

OSF Peace Meal supports more than just food insecurity. OSF Peace Meal provides nutritious meals five days a week for seniors age 60 and over. The meals are provided by carryout from an OSF Peace Meal central kitchen. Home delivery is also available.
