Weekend basketball recap




(Talen Steidinger goes up for a shot against Eureka Friday night)

The Prairie Central Lady Hawks won their first Regional game Saturday afternoon over Iroquois West 40-37.


Lucy Whitfill was the leading scorer with 16 while Whitfill and Sawyer Ashman tied for the most rebounds with 8 each. Kelly Wilkey had 5 steals in the game. PC will now face St. Joe Ogden Monday night at 7:30 at Clifton Central. We will have the broadcast on Fairbury News.


On the boys side, the Hawks split a pair of games over the weekend as they defeated Eureka on the road Friday night 57-41 but fell to Beecher at home Saturday 66-58. The Hawk boys have three home games in a row this week to finish out the regular season, on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
