Wall escort to leave Fairbury

“The Wall That Heals” Vietnam Memorial Wall replica escort will leave Fairbury Tuesday to its destination in Eureka.

Fairbury Speedway is listed as a staging area with a meetup at 11:15 a.m., ride briefing at 12:05, departure at 12:30 and anticipated arrival at Maple Lawn Homes in Eureka at 1:35 p.m.

The escort will likely leave the First Street gate of the speedway in Fairbury around 12:30 before heading to Route 24 to travel west Tuesday.

Starting Thursday, the wall opens for visitors for 24 hours at the site in Eureka through early Sunday afternoon. Maple Lawn Homes is located at 221 S. Clinton Drive in Eureka. Once it opens Thursday, the wall will be on display there around the clock providing the opportunity to visit with others any time.
