Illinois sends 17 winning state FFA judging teams to nationals and Prairie Central had six of those this year.

Prairie Central saw huge success at the recent national convention at Indianapolis and that’s no small feat. There are 1,420,245 FFA members in the U.S. and 9,407 chapters.

Some of the winning Prairie Central FFA teams spent time talking to the Fairbury Rotary Club this week, including members Madi Roth, Saydee Fehr, Leah Hartman, Carolyn Schmidgall, Brayden Schrader, Ty Harms and Clayton Meiss.

Outgoing PC ag teacher and FFA advisor Kyle Miller was there with them. Superintendent Brian Quam expressed appreciation for Miller’s dedication to the school district.

“Words can’t do it justice,” Quam said.
