A memorable senior night at Prairie Central High School saw the Hawk boys basketball team win big to a large home crowd which included some familiar faces.
PC defeated Illinois Valley Central (IVC) 74-38 in a night which featured senior recognitions for players and cheerleaders.
Boys basketball seniors include Dylan Bazzell, Caleb Decker, Drew Fehr, Drew Haberkorn, Austin Hansen, Camden Palmore, Colton Stork and manager Thomas Hammond. Cheer seniors are Journey Mowery, Alaina Peterson and Madison Walker.
Legendary Hawk basketball coach Charlie Strasburger was even in attendance along with former players from the early 1990s. PA announcer Mike Norris interviewed Strasburger about being back at PCHS.
Dayton Kilgus and Kirk Leman called the play-by-play action for Fairbury News listeners.
Now, the Hawks look ahead to Friday night’s road game at Paxton-Buckley-Loda before participating in the IPC/Sangamo Conference Shootout Saturday evening at Williamsville High School. Fairbury News will cover both of those games live.
