Seniors honored at concert




(PCHS Choral Director Todd Cheek presents the school choral award to Claire Dunahee)

A night of music and recognition filled Prairie Central High School Tuesday during the Music Department’s spring concert.


The Louis Armstrong Jazz Award was presented to Dru Parent while Piper Rieger won the John Philip Sousa Band Award and Claire Dunahee was the recipient of the National School Choral Award.


Senior band and choir members were acknowledged and include: Jeremiah Argueta, Emma Bachtold, Kayden Baker, Tyler Curl, Ellie Drach, Claire Dunahee, Callie Eisenmann, Clay Eisenmann, Calley Friedman, Carmen Gradberg, Dru Parent, Preston Plenert, Franklin Rathbun, Josh Razo, Piper Rieger, Allison Sewell, Karmyn Steidinger, Blaise Strong, Abagail Valdez, Jaynon Wheeler and Tabitha Yoder.

 

Selections were featured from the various junior high and high school groups as well as the jazz bands, which performed in the commons area during an ice cream social fundraiser prior to the concert in the gymnasium.
