Fairbury’s Southeast Livingston County Ambulance Service was one of three agencies randomly selected from over 1,400 entries to receive a $2,500 gift from Compeer.
Entries were submitted across Compeer’s territory in Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Recipients received the donation to support their continued service and recognize the essential role first responders play in keeping communities safe.
In Fairbury and the surrounding towns when someone calls for help, SELCAS emergency responders answer. They show up in all hours, in unpredictable weather and through tough terrain – to wherever they are needed most.
Community member Amy Ifft nominated SELCAS for Compeer’s National Heroes Day giveaway.
“I knew right away that I wanted to nominate them,” explains Ifft. “They truly are a group of dedicated, committed people. Their crew goes above and beyond.”
