The January and February Students of the Month have been named by the Fairbury Rotary Club.
Sophie Musser, daughter of Lisa and Byron Musser, was nominated by the Social Studies Department at Prairie Central High School for the January honor. Nominating teacher Tiffany Custer said Sophie does a great job staying on task in the classroom and participates in all group activities while staying on top of all assignments.
February’s winner, Micah Lanz, was nominated by teacher Alan Dunahee. Micah is the son of Michael and Marsha Lanz. Dunahee said Micah is an exceptional student in the Industrial Technology area and has a willingness to learn. According to Dunahee, he never hesitates to help other students and does a great job assisting his peers.
Musser and Lanz both received certificates from the Fairbury Rotary Club earlier this week.
