Projects continue for F.I.G.

Most of the projects for the Fairbury Improvement Group for the Summer of 2020 have been completed or are in the process of being completed.

Volunteer Dale Maley reports the group did not have a long list of projects but if anyone has projects they would like to add to the list, they should let him know.

Projects underway:

-Repaint red double doors on screened-in pavilion at Marsh Park to cover scratch marks.

-Replace old city hall wood sign that is separating from building.

-Replace broken yellow bucket swing at Marsh Park (new one on order)

-Add swing ride at Marsh Park

Completed Projects:

-Repaint wood frame on 5 murals at Veterans Memorial Park

-Install mock jail at Old City Hall for photo ops

-Clean 5 text boxes on the 5 murals at Veterans Memorial Park

-Install 2 new barn quilts at Marsh Park

-Replace 4 broken electrical outlet covers on band stand at Marsh Park

-Remove dead limbs from roof of Marsh Park pavilion

-Install 7 new barn quilts at North Park

-Install new sign with telephone number to reserve North Park pavilion

-Mayor Slagel and volunteers made new picnic tables for parks

-Paint yellow ends on swimming pool driveway tubing

-Repaint main sign for swimming pool
