PC voters approve proposition

Voters have spoken in the Prairie Central School District and approved a proposition to build an elementary school building while repairing the high school, junior high and upper elementary buildings.


Based on unofficial results in Livingston, McLean and Ford counties Tuesday evening, the “yes” votes won 2,095 to 1,536 “no” votes.


Also, the race has been decided for the Prairie Central Board of Education with the four winners including Ashley Fehr (2,444), John Wilken (1,701), Brian Plenert (1,690) and Michael Reiners (1,647). They defeated Amanda Kester, Jared Donley, Andrew Jolly, Dalton Campbell and Joe Moreland.


Voter turnout in the Prairie Central district in Livingston County was slightly over 53 percent, compared to the county-wide turnout of 24.6 percent. McLean County saw a county-wide voter turnout of 25.46 percent, although the exact turnout for the PC district in that county was not immediately known Tuesday evening. Ford County reported an overall county voter turnout of 23.19 percent.
