Maxine L. Yoder, 91, of Fairbury, passed away at 9:20 am, October 23, 2025, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington
Her funeral will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, October 27, 2025, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Forrest. Pastor David Castner will be officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Township Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 3-5:00 pm, Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 9:30-10:15 am Monday at the church.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Forrest or Livingston County Humane Society.
Maxine was born April 28, 1934, in Fairbury, the daughter of Benjamin and Minnie (Waibel) Zehr.
She married Ray O. Yoder on May 17, 1964, in Forrest. He died May 10, 2013.
Surviving are her children, Brian R. Yoder of Kirkland, WA, Pam L. (Melvin) Likens of Urbana, and Greg A. (Kimberly) Yoder of Fairbury; three grandchildren, Marie Likens, Nathan (Ali Richmond) Yoder and Tabitha Yoder.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ronald.
Maxine graduated from Fairbury High School and worked for Honeggers’ and Company in the mail department until she married and became a homemaker.
Maxine was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Forrest and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where she was involved in bible study and helped for many years with funeral dinners.
