Susie Stork, 82, Chatsworth, died at 2:48 pm, Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Piper City Rehab and Living Center, Piper City. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, April 16, 2022 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Forrest with Pastor Corinne Blissard officiating. Burial will follow in Forrest Twp. Cemetery, Forrest.
Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 pm Friday, April 15, 2022 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 10 to 10:45 am, prior to her funeral on Saturday at the church in Forrest. The family suggests memorials be directed to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Forrest, IL or American Cancer Society. Mrs. Stork was born May 5, 1939 in Evanston, IL; the daughter of John P. and Mayme (Harrison) Hearne. She married Richard D. Stork on July 29, 1956 in Chenoa, IL. Her husband, Richard preceded her in death on May 5, 2012. Her parents, two brothers, Timmie and Robert Hearne; one sister, Molly Hearne and one daughter-in-law, Bev Stork also preceded her in death. Survivors include her children, Jean (Randy) Doran of Fairbury, Rich (Jamie) Stork and John (Maureen) Stork, both of Forrest, Bob Stork of Chatsworth, Lisa (Mark) Hall of Cropsey, eighteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, and one on the way, two sisters, Gwen Stork of Fairbury and Kathy Hirtzig of Pontiac.
Susie was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Forrest. She loved her family and enjoyed being surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
