Obituary: Moser




Nita L. Moser, 84, of Forrest, passed away at 7:25pm, April 15, 2022, at Gibson Area Hospital, Gibson City.


Her funeral will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at the Apostolic Christian Church, Fairbury. Ministers of the church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Apostolic Christian Cemetery, Fairbury.


Visitation will be held from 5-7:00pm, Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 9-9:45am, Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be made to Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.


Nita was born September 26, 1937, in Cullom, the daughter of David and Irene (Detweiler) Ruehle. She married Keith Moser on June 24, 1961, in Cullom. He survives.


Also surviving are her children, Nancy (Greg) Knauer of Forrest, Patti (Ken) Hill of Mahomet, and Brian Moser of Strawn; grandchildren, Janelle Rafferty, Whitney (Bryan) Bell, Michael (Erin) Friedman, Tyler (Heather) Hill, Ryan (Cara) Friedman, Tara (Clayton) Maddox, and Travis (Nicole) Hill; 14 great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by one son, Terry Moser and two sisters, Anna May Ruehle and Betty Krumweide.


Nita was a farm wife and worked many years in the cafeteria at Meadowbrook School, Forrest.


She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Fairbury.
