Terri Lynn Mitchell, 57, Groveland, died at 2:30 pm Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at the Richard Owens Hospice Home, Peoria.
Her funeral will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury with Pastor Brian King officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.
Visitation will be 11:00 to 1:00 pm Saturday also at the memorial home. The family suggests memorials be given to the Richard Owens Hospice Home, Peoria or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Terri was born March 15, 1964 in Fairbury the daughter of Donald “Sam” and Margie Sue Nance Hedrick. She married Michael Lee Mitchell on December 14, 1985 in Fairbury. He survives in Groveland.
Other survivors include a son, Cory (Briana) Mitchell, Groveland, a daughter, Sara (Lou) Hardin, Iowa City, IA; two grandchildren, Jack and Luke Mitchell, Groveland; two brothers, Thomas (Pam) Hedrick, Timothy (Mel) Hedrick; one sister, Tonja Schauble, all of Fairbury, father and mother-in-law, Jack and Shirley Mitchell, Fairbury, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Terri was a graduate of Fairbury-Cropsey High School and received her Bachelor of Accounting from Illinois State University. After college she was employed as an U.S. International Tax manager Global Tax accountant for Caterpillar in Peoria retiring in October of 2020.
Terri loved spending time with her family and treasured every moment that she was blessed to have with them.
