Thomas G. Bull, 69, of Fairbury, passed away at 3:30 pm on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Rush Specialty Hospital in Chicago.

A Funeral Mass for Tom will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at St. Andrew Catholic Parish in Fairbury, with Fr. Scott Archer officiating. Burial will take place at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery in Odell at a later date.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home in Fairbury, with a Rosary recited at 3:30 pm. The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to SELCAS.

Tom was born on October 18, 1955, in Morrison, IL, to Harold and Glendeane “Rusty” Hoover Bull. He married Joan Fraher on October 28, 1978, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Odell. She survives in Fairbury.

Other survivors include one son, Dennis (Sarah) Bull of Norwalk, IA; one daughter, Susan (Tom) Legner of Dwight; four grandchildren, Darrin and Zain Pierce, Brooks, and Edith Bull; three step-grandchildren, Emma, Reid, and Ella Legner; and one brother, Chuck (Barbara) Bull of Fairbury.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Gerry and Ronnie Bull, father and mother-in-law, Bob and Irene Fraher, and sister-in-law, Nancy Fraher.

Tom had a deep love for his well-kept yard, taking pride in maintaining it meticulously. He also enjoyed cleaning his vehicles, ensuring they were always in pristine condition. However, his greatest joy came from attending his grandchildren's events, cherishing every moment spent with them. Tom dedicated over 30 years of his life working at the post office, where he made lasting contributions and formed many meaningful relationships. He also served on various boards, contributing to his community in many ways.

"He was a loving husband, father, and Grandpa (Gpa). He always took time to say hello and didn't know a stranger."

He was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Parish in Fairbury.

Joan, I was saddened to read this. You and your family have my deepest sympathy. He was the nicest man. He always had a kind word every time I saw him in the post office. He certainly will be missed.
