May drive collects 65 units

Fairbury’s May 28 blood drive, held at the First United Methodist Church, collected 65 units.
Donors reaching milestones were Dustin Popejoy, one gallon; Carmen Dotterer, two gallons; Anne Nugent, five gallons; Donna Delaney, six gallons; Cheryl Palen, seven gallons; Mike Kessinger, eight gallons; Mike Onsager, 13 gallons; Pete Walter, 17 gallons; and John Vitzthum and Gerry Groskreutz, both 28 gallons.
Others donating were Karl Edelman, Barbara Schlatter, Kyle Buchanan, Dennis Knauer, Janelle Stoller, Mark Hall, Bethany Brucker, Amy Kostesich, John Kostesich, Nancy Kahle, Ted Bachtold, Leslie Slagel, Lori Schahrer, Barbara Gregory, Darren Koehl, Brenda Bachtold, Betty Dray, Loren Steidinger and Heidi Bachman.
Also donating were Teri Stork, Lisa Tyler, Alice Gordon, Sheila Knutson, Robert Mayo, Tess Popejoy, Ed Palen, Don Walter, Louis John Slagel, Craig Rudin, Bryan Aberle, Robert Bradbury, Samantha Palen, Wesley Goodwin, Ray Popejoy, Philip Leman, Rebeca Rivera-Garcia, Curtis Meiss, Julie Wunsch, Kyle Kaskavage, Eli Meister, Jordan Moser, Erin Bittner, Kinzey Bachtold, Rollin Wenger, Lee Waldbeser, Nancy Stadler and Randall Fehr.
Donors came from Strawn, Forrest, Chatsworth, Chenoa, Fairbury, Sibley, Dwight, Lexington, Cropsey, Piper City, Pontiac and Emington.
St. Andrew’s Catholic Church Altar and Rosary Society furnished a Dave’s gift card to provide food for the donors and also donated cookies. Becky Whitfill, Jeannette Coomber, Sharon McCoy, Marcia Oprondek, Janet Beyer and Mary Catherine Carter baked cookies, as did Kim McWilliams.
Volunteers working at the bloodmobile were Mary Carter, MaryAnn Stork, Mark Hall, Deb Moran, Kathy Fehr, Linda Zick, Barb Taylor, Kathy Cook, Josie Harms, Beverly Forneris, Teresa Palen, Jeanie Searby, Judy Bennett, Lolita Dunahee, Katie Cavanagh, Liz Freeland, Mary Zimerman, Karen Munz, Dennis Greear, Janet Greear and Karen Harms.
