Masching: Primary still on

While many events have been cancelled or postponed in recent days, it appears Tuesday’s Illinois Primary Election is still on.

Livingston County Clerk and Recorder Kristy Masching confirmed that news to us Monday morning. Only one polling place in Pontiac was moved from Evenglow Lodge to the nearby Methodist Church – otherwise, polling locations in our area remain the same.

An election judge for one of the Indian Grove precincts tells Fairbury News that hand sanitizer will be offered at each precinct table for use before and after voting. Voters are also advised to wash their hands prior to and after casting their vote. Areas will be cleaned where voting takes place.

The polls are open Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
