The Prairie Central Lady Hawks fell to LaSalle-Peru on Senior Night Monday in Fairbury, 36-26.
Abi Nimbler was leading scorer with 10 while Lucy Whitfill was the rebound leader with 8. She also contributed 3 steals. Jayla Hammond had 5 points, Carmen Gradberg contributed 3, while Kyrsten Atkins, Lucy Whitfill, Kelly Wilkey and Sawyer Ashman each had 2.
The PC seniors were recognized prior to the varsity game, including Alayna Anderson, Kyrsten Atkins, Carmen Gradberg, Sawyer Ashman, Lucy Whitfill and Kelly Wilkey.
“These six seniors are awesome,” Coach Gabby Zeedyk told Fairbury News. “I can’t say enough about them. They’ve worked their tails off every single day this season.”
It is a busy week for the Lady Hawks as they battle GCMS High School in Fairbury Tuesday evening before traveling to Monticello on Thursday for a game rescheduled from Jan. 15 due to weather. The Regional is set for Saturday at 1 p.m. at Iroquois West High School.
