Despite a great effort, the Prairie Central varsity girls basketball team came up short on senior night against a talented Olympia team.
Olympia defeated PC 61-56 in our Fairbury News featured broadcast game Monday night at PCHS. The Hawks tried to bounce back late in the second half as they battled the tough Illini Prairie Conference foe. The girls are scheduled to play at Monticello on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the JV Lady Hawks lost to Olympia 58-46.
Our next Hawk broadcast comes Friday night as the varsity boys are home at 7 p.m. against Monticello.
