The Fairbury Community Food Pantry is holding an all-town Thanksgiving Food Drive this Saturday, Nov. 2 starting at 9 a.m.

They would like the public's help in getting the word out by providing volunteers to go door-to-door to collect donations. This will be similar to the letter carrier drive where residents put their non-perishable donations on the doorstep or front porch.

Food donations should be left on your doorstep by 9 a.m. Saturday which is when the volunteers will start city-wide collection.

Stock is getting low and demand is increasing at the pantry. Donation suggestions include: canned fruit, cereal, saltines, canned vegetables, mac & cheese, dry pasta, chunky soups, pasta or rice sides and regular soups.

Anyone with questions or wanting to provide volunteers should call 815-848-7205.
