A rural Fairbury man has died following a single-vehicle crash which occurred early Sunday.
Livingston County Coroner Michael E. Renner reports Brandon McCaughn, 29, was the sole occupant in the vehicle at the time of the crash which occurred at E. 900 North Road and 2300 East Road.
“The vehicle he was driving was traveling northbound on N 2300 East road and failed to navigate the 90-degree turn at E. 900 North Road and his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree,” said a news release from Renner’s office. “The driver was thrown from the vehicle.”
McCaughn was pronounced dead on the scene at 1:08 a.m. The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office and Coroner are investigating the incident.
