This is Election Day with polls open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Livingston County Clerk’s Office reminds the public that if you requested and received a vote by mail ballot and have decided to vote in person, you are encouraged to take the vote by mail ballot with you and surrender it in order to avoid any delays.

Early voting concluded Monday at the Clerk’s Office in Pontiac. As of Friday, Oct. 23, the office had received 3,693 vote by mail ballot requests and have received back 2,498 ballots. There were 1,856 in-person early voters since Sept. 24 which was the first day for Early Voting.

Livingston County Clerk Kristy Masching reports the county has 22,076 registered voters and typically has had a 70 percent turnout in the last two presidential election years.

Some county polling place locations have changed including some in Pontiac, Long Point and Round Grove, although Fairbury’s remain the same. All precincts in Indian Grove Township (which includes Fairbury) vote at the Boys and Girls Club of Prairie Central on north First Street.
