Details released from accident





Fairbury Police have released details surrounding a Sunday afternoon accident in which a tree fell onto a vehicle in the 100 block of west Oak Street.


The accident occurred around 4:15 p.m. as the vehicle was traveling east. Police say there were two adults and two juveniles in the vehicle and one of the adults, a front seat passenger, was taken to OSF St. James Medical Center with minor injuries.


Due to damage from the tree landing on the front hood, the vehicle was towed from the location. SELCAS and Fairbury Fire assisted at the scene evaluating the occupants and transporting one adult.


The Fairbury Fire Department also assisted with clearing the roadway of debris.
