Coach proud of players efforts

The Prairie Central Hawk boys basketball team saw its season come to an end over the weekend after falling to BHRA 54-46 at the Iroquois West Regional in Onarga.

Hawk head coach Trevin McCulloh said he was proud of his players and their fight this season.

The fourth quarter pretty much decided the game Friday night as BHRA outscored the Hawks 20-9 in the quarter. PC had gone into the fourth leading 37-34 but down the stretch, the Blue Devils wore down their opponents as they have with teams this season.

Tyler Curl was not able to play his normal game after aggravating his ankle again in the first half, although he got it re-taped and was able to get out there some but didn’t play a full second half.

Levi Goad had 19 points for PC, Gavin Tredennick had 9, Curl and Talen Steidinger each had 7 while Avery Elder and Gage Steidinger each had 2 points.
