During a special meeting last week, the Prairie Central Board of Education approved purchasing four used 2020 Bluebird buses.

This includes a five-year extended warranty along with the trade-in of four buses for a total price of $221,554. Also during the special meeting, the board accepted a bid from The Glass Shop in Ottawa to replace windows in the high school gym. Top windows on the south side of the gym are included, which are actually in a classroom.

The total price for the gym window project, which should be completed this summer, is $181,750.

An overnight trip for the FCCLA was authorized. The leadership conference will be held in Springfield this April.
