Big news for the Fairbury American Legion Speedway as the annual Prairie Dirt Classic race has received the Outstanding Annual Short Track Event award at the 2019 RPM Promoters Workshop in Daytona Beach.
According to the Fairbury American Legion Speedway Facebook page, the award was accepted on behalf of anyone who has ever had anything to do with organizing the race. The 30th annual PDC is coming this summer and the speedway says hundreds, if not thousands of people, were involved in making it what it is today.
“A huge thank you to everyone who has ever been involved in any way, especially those that had the vision 30 years ago to put on this event. Also, a big thank you to every team, driver, fan and marketing partner that has ever been a part of this event. We could never receive this award without you,” a post on Facebook said.
