School to present musical




PCHS students in 'Matilda the Musical' which will be shown in Chenoa this weekend.

Prairie Central High School’s Music Department will present Matilda The Musical this weekend at the PC Center for the Performing Arts (Prairie Central Primary West school) in Chenoa.


The spring musical production will be presented Thursday through Sunday, Mar. 10-13 with showings at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. Ticket prices are $7 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens. They can be purchased at the door.


Children and adults will be thrilled by the story of the special little girl with an extraordinary imagination. Matilda The Musical is packed with high-energy dance numbers, catchy songs and an unforgettable star turn for a young actress. Matilda is a little girl with astonishing wit, intelligence and psychokinetic powers. She is unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her schoolteacher, the highly loveable Miss Honey.


During her first term at school, Matilda and Miss Honey have a profound effect on each other’s lives as Miss Honey begins not only to recognize but also appreciate Matilda’s extraordinary personality.
