It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Diane Marie Yarish (Rieger), 74, who died after a five-year battle with Alzheimer's disease on April 25, 2025.

Born in Fairbury, Illinois, on April 13, 1951, Diane was a beloved sister, wife and friend. Diane graduated high-school from Forrest Strawn Wing and eventually settled in Arizona. Residing in Casa Grande for a time, she spent her latter years in Paradise Valley.

After retiring from her career in nursing which spanned hospital assignments to facility quality assurance and in-home care with a focus on the American Indian community, Diane enjoyed traveling the world with her husband Mark, learning about different cultures, observing wildlife and made many friends along the way. Always up for an adventure, Diane learned Flamenco as well as Belly Dancing and also practiced Tai Chi. Diane loved her dogs and was known for her ability to bring joy and at times, uproarious humor and laughter to family events. Anyone who encountered Diane fell in love with her spirit and remembered her with fondness.

Diane is survived by her husband, Mark Yarish and her sisters Linda Follmer, Jane Bounds, June Tooley and Sylvia Feese. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Dorothy Rieger.

While there is sadness in her passing, Diane believed in the promise of Jesus. Her family takes comfort in the assurance she has been fully healed in Heaven and has experienced the joy of seeing Jesus face to face.

No service has been planned at this time.
